I'm Paul Marcotte — software developer and toolbuilder based in Canada.

What I Do

I build developer tooling: editor extensions, workflow automation, and the scaffolding that makes AI assistants useful for real engineering work. Most of that work lives in the fancy-bread GitHub org.

One thread running through it is ASDLC — a spec-first methodology for structured, AI-assisted software development.

Career

Long career across full-stack web, backend systems, and platform engineering — enterprise software, financial services, SaaS. Most of that history is in the git log. This site is about where I'm going.
